About Pacific Connection Fertility ServicesPacific Connection Fertility Services was born of Anne Rust's desire to help couples that are struggling to create a family. She has a love of people as well as for the islands. A lifelong resident of Hawaii, Anne has had the privilege of helping friends through the ups and downs of infertility treatments. Always interested in the technological aspects of assisted reproduction, she sees egg donation as an ideal solution for many infertile couples. We are located in Hawaii, where the temperate climate and strategic location have acted as magnet over the years, attracting new residents from all over the world, truly a "melting pot" of cultural diversity. Due in part to a year-round outdoor lifestyle, there is a high standard of health in Hawaii. Consistently ranked among the top states in terms of health, expectation of life at birth in 1990 (according to the Hawaii State Department of Health) was 75.9 years for males and 82.1 years for females, well above national averages. PCFS is available to help you find an egg donor who is right for you. We have egg donors who are young, healthy, intelligent women of varied ethnic backgrounds who have already been recruited and interviewed. A photograph of each prospective donor, as well as their personal and family health histories are included in the profiles for your review. Additionally, the donors have described their personality traits, hobbies and special talents, as well as their own personal motivation for becoming a donor. We work with the California North Bay Fertility Medical Associates (CNBFMA) in the San Francisco bay area, a dedicated and experienced team. Steven T. Dodge, MD is a fellowship-trained specialist in reproductive endocrinology with many years of experience in the assisted reproduction process. The husband and wife team of embryologists, Linda K. Vaught, Ph.D. and William G. Vaught, Ph.D., have been successfully involved in all aspects of assisted reproduction since 1984. As a result of their combined expertise they are leaders in the effort to keep success rates high while reducing the risk of multiple pregnancy to extremely low levels. They normally transfer only 2 or 3 embryos to donor egg recipients and yet their success rates are among the highest reported. In their hands, most egg donation recipient couples have extra embryos to freeze and their success rates with frozen embryo transfers are also very high. Our donors begin their medical treatment for an egg donation cycle here in Hawaii and then travel to Santa Rosa, California for the egg retrieval. They usually stay in the Santa Rosa area for 4 days before returning home. Their travel expenses are included in our standard fees (see Financial Considerations). Recipient couples can also start their part of the treatment process at home and need to travel to CNBFMA a day or two before the likely time of egg retrieval. They can stay in Santa Rosa, which is located in the heart of the Sonoma/Napa wine country, or San Francisco or nearly anywhere else in the bay area. Departure for home can take place the day after embryo transfer so a total stay in the CNBFMA area of 7 to 8 days is necessary. We provide complete coordination services including travel arrangements and medical appointments. Anne is personally involved with each donor every step of the way. Confidentiality is guaranteed for the donor and recipient. We hope to be able to share our "aloha" with you and help you build your family.
